BRAND IDENTITY FOR NON-PROFIT SUMMIT
Shaping CivicAction’s future through ‘Changemakers Needed 2023’

The Challenge: CivicAction’s Summit, held every
4 years. is the organization’s flagship event. Summit 2023 brought together over 400 of the most influential leaders in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area to solve the region’s most crucial issues. The challenge was to create a brand that was flexible and simple, yet impactful and scalable. Since the programming was being developed,
I aimed to empower the team with a brand that was adaptable across a variety of marketing materials.
The Solution: I worked closely with the team to develop the creative look and feel of the Summit. My research included a deep dive into past Summits and an analysis of the organization’s accomplishments and programs. I visually translated policy and jargon-heavy documents on the key themes - affordability, prosperity, and trust in the GTHA - to tell an engaging and cohesive brand story.
I implemented the creative strategy across a broad range of designs, from attendee badges and notebooks to content that would play on all the screens at the venue.

A single off-kilter, rounded stroke represents Changemakers - bold challengers of the status quo, doers, and complex problem-solvers who bring a fresh perspective.

A series of vertical lines representing the community energized by Changemakers.
